I have Revlon Popular to show you today. Whenever (the only reason) I buy pink polish is for Pink Wednesday. LOL I went to Kroger (my local grocery store) and found this awesome pink. Now, you know I don't get down with pinks, but this is such a feminine color. I think this is my new fav baby pink! I LOVE LOVE LOVE! I loved it so much, I bought this for this weekends mini giveaway :D I used 2 coats of a very sheer baby pink base color and 1 coat of Popular. The formula was a bit thin, but I found it manageable and I think it had just the right amount of glitter.

Popular
Hi lovlies, It's hump day. The weekend is halfway here! Yay!
I'm thinking though, you could probably use 3 coats of Popular by itself. I did try to use this on it's own, but like Whimsical, it's best layered. The base color I used came in a set and doesn't have a name, I put a pic of it so you all can see what it looks like. Have a great day ladies :D

Fire Fox
I have Revlon Fire Fox from their Matte Suede Collection that I wore Friday. Before I start, red is my happy color, so I'm a bit biased and have nothing bad to say about this color. This is such pretty cherry red. I love it! It also has micro glitter. I can't tell what color though, looks gold to me. I bought this a few months ago at CVS for $1.54 (I think) no more than $1.72. The formula was a bit thin, so you have to be careful or it can flood your cuticles. I used 2 coats and topped with Revlon TC. It didn't need the top coat, but I wanted shiny. I'm holding an Essie TC bottle because I couldn't hold the Revlon bottle. have a nice day ladies. My international readers don't forget to take the polish brand survey for next weekends mini giveaway :D

Midnight Affair
Hi ladies, It's Monday the start of a brand new week :D Today I have Revlon Midnight Affair. My bff gave this to me for Christmas. I love this color, it's a sexy, chic and sophisticated shimmery royal blue. It's a very bold color! I usually stay away from dark colors like this because I don't think they look good on my skin tone, but my bff w/o knowing always pushes outside my comfort zone. I'm totally loving this color. Thanks bff :D Formula wise it was a bit on the thin side but very manageable. I used 2 coats and topped with a franken top coat I made. Boy did it change the color of this blue! It's like a metallic/foil teal. I'm still teaching myself to franken so please bear with me as I play :D You may be seeing this top coat a lot over different colors. Have a great day ladies :D

Cloudy Cupcake
Hi ladies :D We finally made it back from San Antonio. It seemed the drive took forever! What should've been a 2 1/2 hour drive took 5! We had to make stops and wish our moms a Happy New Year :D
My 1st mani of the year is Revlon's Whimsical. I've read everywhere that it's a substitute for Deborah Lipmann's Glitter in the Air. I wouldn't exactly know as I don't own it. I may purchase Glitter in the Air. Idk, it's quite pricey, $18 vs $4.79. Whimsical is very sheer with small, medium and large hexagonal pink and blue glitter. Because every post I've read about Whimsical being this sheer I decided to layer it over Revlon's Powder Puff. To be honest, I didn't think I was going to like this color very much. Once on though I was quite surprised that I really like it, a lot! When I showed my honey he said it looks like a cloudy cupcake, hence the title. I was going to layer it over Revlon's Blue Lagoon. For no particular reason I chose Powder Puff. Powder Puff is white with a rose-pinkish undertone from their Matte Suede Collection. I just love their Matte Suede polishes! I used 1 coat of Powder Puff because I knew I was going to put at least 2 coats of Whimsical. You should probably put 2 coats of Powder Puff because of the bare spots. Whimsical went on a bit sparingly I had to play with it to spread on the nail. In my opinion 2 coats is all that's needed to give it that "Whimsical" look. Anything more would a bit much. All pics are in artificial light. Have a great evening :D

Powder Puff
Hi ladies, Today is my last day of school until January 9th. Yay! Sorry, this is a late post. I decided to teach myself to salsa, cumbia, and model walk. HAHA Well, the dancing lasted only about 8 minutes. I did not look like the girl in the YouTube video. For my catwalk I decided to put on some 6 inch high heels. Why did I think I could last more than 15-25 minutes in those shoes?! My feet aren't feeling to good right now :( Then, i took of my 1st mani, because it didn't like how it turned out :/ In between all my playing I was studying for tonight's final. I forgot my son was taking me out today, so I had to hurry and do my nails again. I did this mani in less than 10 minutes, I'm so sorry about the pics, I did no clean up. I promise I'll do better tomorrow. Oh, Sally Beauty Rocks I tweeted about not being able to find the Finger Paints Special Effects polish and they had my local Sally's hold them for me! Yay, Sally's y'all rock. I'll post those tomorrow, I did post a pic on twitter if you all want to see. Ok, this is 2 coats of Revlon Powder Puff from their Matte Suede Collection. It's a pretty white with a rose undertone and then just for kicks I added Essie Shine of the Times, topped with SV. I'm not a matte lover, but I like Revlons Matte Suede collection. Have a great day :D

Ruby Ribbon
Hi lovely ladies, I hope y'all are having a great day! Today, I have Revlon Ruby Ribbon. I love this matte! All the Revlon matte polishes I have dry super fast and the formulas are great. The complaint I have isn't with the polish, it's my skin tone. I look like I have lobster claws :/ Burgundy and dark blues usually do on me :( It's sad because I love those colors. I think for someone with a darker skin tone this would look really pretty. When I was looking at the pics, I was really surprised. You can see a purple/pink shimmer that you can't see in real life. And, since I'm in a Christmas-y mood I stamped a bow with Ulta High Roller using plate m59. I used 2 coats and added SV Top Coat after I stamped. The sun isn't out today in H-Town so these are all inside with artificial light. Have a great day :D
