Stiletto Red

Hi everyone :D Monday is here again! I always look forward to Mondays. This was not always the case. I used to be like almost everyone else and dreaded Mondays. Then, last year I read a book by Joel Osteen that helped me change my mind. Did you know that people have more heart attacks on Mondays, than any other day of the week. I didn't. Anyway, I thought for a long time what can I do to help take away my Monday blues. The answer; red nail polish. And, that my friends is why I look forward to Mondays. To some it may seem silly, but to me it makes perfectly good sense. Anyway, the people who think it's silly are the ones who get the Monday blues, so I get the last laugh because I start the week off with nothing but joy and happiness :D Ok, enough rambling and on to my mani.

I chose Rimmel Stiletto Red. I love Rimmel and their wide brush. The formula was a breeze to apply. I used 2 coats and topped with SV. This reminds me of one of Revlon's that I've yet to post, but I'll share that next Monday. I totally forgot to do a clean up, so sorry for that :(

Warrior Ethos

Hi everyone! It's Monday! WHOOP WHOOP! You know what that means right? NO? Well, I get to start the week with my favorite nail color, RED! LOL :D

Today, I have my first Nerd Lacquer. Since I like to start the week with red, I chose Warrior Ethos. As always I don't have anything negative to say about the color itself. Come on, it's red :D It has gold and black hex glitter along with black and (I think) gold micro glitter, it might be red micro glitter though O.O I think I even saw some purple hex in there too. I love it!  The formula was great, it was almost a one coater, but I used two for full coverage. I can't wait to try the others! She has an Etsy Store and sells these great polishes for $10.

Romanticism Ruby

Hi there everyone :D I love Mondays, it's the start of a brand new week. Out with the old, in with the new! I hope y'all had a great weekend. Mine was fun, fun, fun! My honey's niece came over and we played with nail polish :D Then we went to a craw fish boil. OMG, the best I've had! I was supposed to show you all my St Patrick's Day mani, but it turned into a disaster after all the craw fish peeling I did :(

Ok, today, I have Finger Paints Romanticism Ruby.  So, everyone knows what my take is on red. If not, I LOVE IT! This kinda looks like China Glaze Ruby Pumps.  The formula was great, application is was easy breezy. It does dry with a lot of grit and is top coat thirsty. In the pics I had one coat and you can tell it was thirsty for more. I ended up using 3, and it could easily have used 2 more O.O Have a great Monday everyone :D

Scream Queen

Hi everyone :D It's Monday again! Time to start new! I hope y'all's weekend was great. It was a great one for me, it was a Bishop TD Jakes weekend.  If you've never heard him speak, you should :D Talk about keeping it real, he keeps it real! Welcome new followers, I'm so happy to have you here :D

Ok, Today, I have a franken polish from Spooky Bones, Scream Queen A Strange Polish. This is an orange red jelly with micro glitter and shard like glitter. The formula was great, it was kind of thin and thick, I know that makes no sense. I say that because a lot (thick) of polish stayed on the brush, but once I was painting my nails it was thin, but not too thin that it flooded my cuticles. A lot of the microglitter stayed on the brush, the shard like glitter was a bit tricky, I shook the bottle for each nail to make sure I got it on the brush.  Did I have to do this?  IDK, but this is what I sometimes do with my frankens, I figured it couldn't hurt.  I used 2 coats (if you're super awesome at painting your nails, you could probably do one) and topped with 3 coats of SV. It still had a textured feel though, so it may need an extra coat. Over all, I love this polish and will definitely be buying more from Spooky Bones! Great job Spooky Bones! Franken Friday

Hi lovelies, Friday is here! Yay! I hope you all have fun plans. We do, tonight we're taking my mom to celebrate! :D

Today's franken is a RED!  You already know I love it! LOL Ok, maybe it's more of a burgundy. Hehe  I usually play a while before I get the right color.  Well, this time I didn't get to play very long :(  I was in love with it on the first try. While I do love it, it's not the color I was going for.  I wanted a more vampish look but forgot to add the black nail polish and I'd already filled the bottle :/  This is almost a one coater, Rimmels have great formulas but they leave bald spots.  I used 3 coats for more depth, but 2 would've been fine and topped with 2 coats SV TC.  None of my pics do this justice, I'm so bummed because I did not skimp on the glitter and wanted you all to see it.  But, once you go outside boy does this just sparkle, sparkle, sparkle! I added a video so you all can see at least some of the sparkle (It was night time, but it least you'll be able to some of the awesomeness) :D Please don't laugh my honey worked really hard on this. Starlight Covers

Hi everyone :D I hope y'all's weekend was great. I visited family, relaxed, went to church, and relaxed some more. All around great weekend! Now, it's Monday. The start of a brand new week and what a terrific week it's going to be! Oh, welcome new followers! I'm so very happy to have you here :D

Today, I have Sation a brand I had not heard of until I went to my new found beauty supply store.  This is glitterific and holorific!  And, it's RED!  I just love it!  The formula was like butter. The brush is wonky though.  It's square O.o  I thought it was going to open and spread, but it didn't. What saved this polish in my eyes was the awesome formula.  I could not stop looking at my nails, so much sparkle! I used 2 coats and 3 coats of SV TC.  Have a great day :D

Fire Fox

Hi ladies, I hope y'all's weekend has been great. The weather here in Houston has been just awful, so I've been home relaxing. I know boring right.

I have Revlon Fire Fox from their Matte Suede Collection that I wore Friday. Before I start, red is my happy color, so I'm a bit biased and have nothing bad to say about this color. This is such pretty cherry red. I love it! It also has micro glitter. I can't tell what color though, looks gold to me. I bought this a few months ago at CVS for $1.54 (I think) no more than $1.72. The formula was a bit thin, so you have to be careful or it can flood your cuticles. I used 2 coats and topped with Revlon TC. It didn't need the top coat, but I wanted shiny. I'm holding an Essie TC bottle because I couldn't hold the Revlon bottle. have a nice day ladies. Nouveau Vintage

Hi ladies :D It's Thursday, the weekend is almost here! Woot Woot! No plans again for me, just chillin. I hope y'all much more awesome plans than me.

Today I have Color Club Nouveau Vintage (I think) It doesn't have the name on the bottle, so I had to search online. That kind of annoyed me :/ Anyway, I love this color! It's a red brown with green and gold shimmer. At first I didn't think I was going to like it. I've had this color for so long. Idk, why I've never pulled this out, because it's awesome!  This is 2 coats topped with FP Flashy and boy does this mani rock. I got so many compliments when I wore this. It looks like a flakie quartz rock just exploded on my fingers! You can't see the green shimmer because I had to take this under the lamp. For the flakies pics I had to go outside to so the flakies would be noticeable. Have a great day ladies :D

Red Carpet

Hi ladies, It Monday, the start of a brand new :D I hope it's starting off great and hope y'all's weekend was awesome too.

Today, I have Orly Red carpet. First let me say, My fav nail color is red. I may be a little biased because I love love love RED! This color did not disappoint. This is a cherry red with micro glitter. The formula was good, no problems application was pretty easy. I can't say it was too sheer I used 2 coats and topped CG TC, if you want you could use a 3rd. I say that because it's like, "hmm, maybe a 3rd coat wouldn't hurt." I didn't, because I just don't like to do 3 coats if I don't have to. As I was thinking about the name 'Red Carpet' it sounded  familiar so I went back and found Sally Hansen Red Carpet you can click here to see that post. Man my nails were long! I really miss them :( I just started blogging when I used Sally Hansen's Red Carpet. Sally Hansen's is darker than Orly's, but I love them both. You may be seeing a lot of reds for Valentines's Day, some with designs some not :D Have a nice day ladies :D

Jewelry Red

Good morning ladies, I hope y'all's weekend is off to great start. :D

Today, I have KLEANCOLOR Jewelry Red. I bought this during the holidays last year. I was driving and saw a beauty supply store and decided to stop and take a look at what they had. This is the second time this has happened while I was driving around this great big city called Houston. Once inside I noticed they didn't really carry any of the newest nail colors or big brands, They mainly carried Sinful colors and KLEANCOLOR and the bottles had dust on them like they'd been there a while, they did have other brands but I can't remember which they were. Anyway, Jewelry Red caught my eye (probably because it's red) I've been itching to wear this since I bought it. I have so many reds and could wear them everyday! Ok, back to my mani. I used to 2 coats of Jewelry Red, 2 coats of FP Flashy and topped with Essie Good 2 Go. I love they way the flakes look with this color. Red is so hard to capture :/ These are all inside with and w/o flash and in different parts of my house, so lighting is different in the pics.

Hi ladies :D I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Just a quick post. Today, the Houston Texans are playing, against who idk. I'm not a football fan at all and I'll sometimes refer to it as BLAH BLAH BLAH! I do love basketball, boxing, and baseball though :D My sissy was kind enough to remind why I don/t like blah blah blah, but I won't bore y'all with that story. Anyway, right before Christmas my honey and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and he found this cute Texans polish set and he couldn't resist buying it for me. Wasn't that sweet of him :D Oh, there was also a Cowboys set, but he said, "There's no way that's getting in my car!" HAHA This polish doesn't have a name. It's very pigmented and needs only one coat. The formula was very creamy and thick. I decided to let it dry before I added the topcoat, that took about 15 minutes :/ As I was applying the TC the base color started to drag and created bald spots! I was like WHAT THE HECK! That was a 1st for me. Ok, back to the mani, I used tape and tipped with Savvy French White White and used FP red crackle and topped with Rusg 60 TC. I bought Savvy for 1.99 at Sally's, I think they're being discontinued regular price was 5.99. Or, that's what heard somewhere. Ok, have a nice day ladies :D

New Years Eve

Hi y'all :D It's New Years Eve! WHOOP WHOOP! I'm in Downtown San Antonio bringing in the New Year with my honey, sissy, and my niece. :D I hope you all have a safe and happy new year's eve :D

Today, I have a England's Perceval. This is the most beautiful metallic red! The formula was a breeze to apply and the brush was great too! My complaint isn't with the polish, it's with my crazy camera I could not get a pic to show the awesomeness of this red :/ I was so excited as this is part of my 1st a England purchase and I must say I was not disappointed! I used 3 coats and sponged my tips with a England's Merlin. Perceval doesn't need 3 coats, I used 3 because I wanted a deep rich red :D I wasn't going to use this color, but once I opened the package I was like, "Oh yeah!" The next reason I decided to use this is because in the Mexican culture they say we should wear red undies on New Year's Eve to bring love :) You can read here for more Mexican New Year traditions. Well, I've already got love, and I sure do wanna keep it ;) If you don't have this color you totally should! Anyway, so this is my New Year's Eve red. I'm only adding only 1 pic, none of them were what I wanted. Then, I forgot to take a pic of Perceval alone. I'm so sorry and even sorrier for the poopie pic :(

Crowned Warriors

Hi ladies, It's PinkWednesday. I'm in week 8 of my 12 week challenge. I chose to do Warrior Symbol Crown. Last week I told y'all I was going to do something different this week. Well, I've decided it's ok for me not to use pink nail polish. Yeah, I said it, no pink polish if I don't wanna :D And, since it's my challenge I can change the rules if I want to. :D I'm like why am I torturing myself? No, I'm not gonna torture myself. I will get back to pink eventually and if the mood strikes me. ok, enough of my ramblings.

Today I have NYC Chelsea. I love this color, it's pomegranate looking. The formula is thin, but so easy to work with, the brush is medium sized and awesome. I used 2 coats, topped with SV, and stamped with Color Club Gingerbread Man using plate bm08. My crowns are a little crooked, but oh well. My fingers smell like gingerbread cookies, I love it. I haven't used Gingerbread Man alone, I'm thinking I'll use this as tomorrow's mani :D In the pics you can see a slight purple shimmer. I really like this color. Santa's Cinnamon

Hi lovely ladies, It's Monday again. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend :D I did. I shopped all weekend! I can't wait for Christmas!

Today, I have Color Club Santa's Cinnamon. I LOVE this color! #1 it's red, already a plus. #2 it's smells delicious, #3 it's bling bling! Red is my absolute fav nail polish. I was talking to my BMF and he asked "how many polishes do you have?" I told him the number and he said, "I bet they're all red." haha :) I just love red polish! I used 2 coats and because this polish is very gritty and thirsty, I used 4 coats of 60 Second Rush Top Coat. I have absolutely no complaints about this polish. The formula was great and the brush easy to work with. I wish we had smell-o-vision, because this is one awesome bling bling smelling polish!

Christmas Mani

Hi ladies, The weekend is almost at an end :( Yesterday I told y'all about my little project. I'm still not done, almost done though :D

Today, I have Butter London Come To Bed Red. I've had this polish since October. It's one my bf gave me for my birthday. For some reason I just didn't care for the way it looked, so I decided to use just 1 coat where as before I did 2 Coats. 1 coat is so much better! There is very minimal VNL. Formula wise it's great. The brush to me was just average like any other. I stamped with plate m59 and sponged with Sally Girl So Disco. The VNL didn't bother me because I knew I was going to stamp and sponge. You can't even tell. I'm just loving this Christmas mani :D All pics are direct sunlight except the last one. Have a great day ladies, time for to do more Christmas shopping :D
