Princess Sabra

Hi ladies and gents :D I hope y'all's week was off to a great start. I have just a quick post today.

Today, at school they're making us do mock job interviews O.o This is the part of school I that annoys me :/ I wanted something office appropriate but trendy at the same time. So, I chose a england Princess Sabra. I think I can pull this off without drawing too much attention to my hands. LOL  Like Princess Tears, the formula was just awesome, effortless application, like butter I tell you.  This is my fav of two.  When I put this on all I saw were My Baby Boy's eyes :D I love, love, love this polish! I used 2 coats and topped with SV, you could probably use 1 thick coat. Have a great day :D

Mitzi

Hi everyone, I hope y'all's weekend has been great so far :D Mine has been fabulous! Last night I went to see Bishop TD Jakes at church.  It was awesome! My honey bought his book Let It Go and I was telling him I can't wait to read it. And he say's to me, "You mean after you finish the other books?" (I'm reading 3 books right now.)  LOL I'm like, "No, I'm going to add it."  What can I say I love to read :D

Ok, I forgot to schedule a post for today.  Usually the manis I post I wore them the week before except for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I actually wear those colors. I had to go in the vault for this one.  I wore this the week I wore Revlon's Fire Fox. This is Zoya Mitzi from the Mod Mattes Collection. I had a difficult time with this.  It was very thick and bumpy, TC did not help. Then I decided to add Nubar 2010 to try and save this mani.  No luck :( I did like the color though, it reminded me of Shrek.  This is 2 coats, with 1 coat of Nubar, and 1 coat of SV TC.  Have a great day :D

Holiday Splendor

Hi everyone, It's Thankful Thursday and that means the weekend is almost here! WHOO HOO!

Today, I have Color Club Holiday Splendor from their 2011 Beyond the Mistletoe Collection. I bought the set at Ross last year. I also have 2 other sets from Color Club, I must show those too. I keep kicking myself for nut using Color Club more often. I love this color! It's a green jelly glitter with a ton of holographic glitter. The pics I'm posting do not do this color justice! I could not stop looking at my nails! There is so much sparkle! Just awesome! I used 2 coats and topped with 3 coats of SV TC. Have a great day everyone :D

Nouveau Vintage

Hi ladies :D It's Thursday, the weekend is almost here! Woot Woot! No plans again for me, just chillin. I hope y'all much more awesome plans than me.

Today I have Color Club Nouveau Vintage (I think) It doesn't have the name on the bottle, so I had to search online. That kind of annoyed me :/ Anyway, I love this color! It's a red brown with green and gold shimmer. At first I didn't think I was going to like it. I've had this color for so long. Idk, why I've never pulled this out, because it's awesome!  This is 2 coats topped with FP Flashy and boy does this mani rock. I got so many compliments when I wore this. It looks like a flakie quartz rock just exploded on my fingers! You can't see the green shimmer because I had to take this under the lamp. For the flakies pics I had to go outside to so the flakies would be noticeable. Have a great day ladies :D

Jolly Rancher

Hi ladies, It's Monday, the start of a brand new week :D I hope it's off to a great start. I'll be in school in the morning now. I  told y'all about my mom being cancer free, well now we're in the treatment part. For the next 3 weeks her treatments will be done in the evening. I may not be able to post everyday, but I'll do my best :D

Ok, today I have Jolly Rancher Green Apple. I bought this over the weekend at the Everything Under $1 Store. I've only seen this at Ross or Marshall's in a mini set, so when I saw this for under $1 I grabbed it and an orange and blue too. It says when dry it smells like green apple. I didn't smell green apples but then for under a dollar I didn't mind. The formula was awesome, but the brush was wonky. When I applied pressure the brush became wide, kinda like Wet n Wild's new brush, but square and not oval. It was weird O.o The bristles are hard and you can see the brush strokes. I used 2 coats (1 thick coat is good though) All that aside this is such a fun color, I love it! I don't think I have a green like this. I have a Crayola mini polish this color and that does smell like green apples. If you like greens this is such a great one to have in your collection. Because of the brush strokes, I decided to layer it with FP Flecked and man this turned out awesome! It looks all squishy like. LOL I think this was the best buy of my mini haul this weekend. Hazel Eyes

Hi ladies, The weekend is almost here! WHOO HOO! Franken Friday, YAY! You all are probably tired of seeing my frankens, but I'm having so much fun and can't help it. My inspiration came from a pic of my son's eye. LOL I love this pic! Yes, you'll be seeing it in this post. HAHA I don't think I came close to the color of his beautiful eyes, but I sure had fun trying. There's just something about playing with colors that I love so much! I used a dark forest green and mixed in some tan. I probably should've added more tan to the green and then I added some gold shimmer. I used 2 coats (I could've used one thick coat) Then, just for fun I added Essie's Matte About You TC. I love this franken. I have a Zoya I wore last weekend and it kinda looks like that, but I didn't take pics :( I'll do that later. The sun hasn't been out the past few days so you get just drab dreary pics and my nail broke, if I have to live with it, you do too! HEHE Sorry ladies O.O

Samantha

Hi ladies, Yay, it's Friday! I hope y'all have an awesome weekend :D FYI: This a wordy and pic heavy post, so if want to skip and go straight to the pics I don't mind.

Today's franken is for a very special lady. Here's a little story about Samantha:

20 years ago a friend of mine went to see me at work and said, "Minnie, Julie's baby has red hair! I was like, "Really?" I said to myself, "I need to go visit Julie." And, sure enough when I finally did go see her 3 days later, she had red hair. Who new 20 years ago I'd be looking at my future daughter-in-law. She's my Baby Boy's love. She's not only beautiful outside, she's beautiful inside as well. I was telling someone I have three kids, that person said, "What do you mean 3 kids, you only have 2 sons?" I said, "Well, Samantha is married to my son, so that now makes her my daughter." For those of you that know me, know that the sun rises and sets on my Baby Boy and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for him. What does that have to do with Samantha? Well now the sun rises and sets on her too and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for her. God was really smiling down on me all those years ago. I couldn't have asked for anyone better for my son to spend the rest of his life with. I love you Sam thank you for loving my Baby Boy :D

For Sam I created an awesome green. It looks like freshly cut grass. I love this color and for some reason I like green for her. Maybe it's the red hair idk. Anyway, I used a top coat, added some green micro glitter. I didn't want a clear base because it would've taken way too many coats to reach opacity, so I added a few drops of a dark green polish. This is 2 coats. I'm including pics with and w/o top coat. Like I always say, I wish I could create something as beautiful as her, but that's not gonna happen :D have a nice Friday ladies

Comet's Collar

Hi ladies, Thursday is here :D Almost the weekend! Today, I have Finger Paints Comet's Collar.  This was part of their Merry and Bright Holiday 2011 Collection.  This is a yellow toned green with shimmery glitter, to my eye it's a gold iridescent glitter.  It almost reminded me of Ulta's Limelight with shimmer.  They're both a kiwi green kinda color.  Comet's Collar, didn't chip or anything, but within 2 hours it looked as if I'd had this on for 3-4 days.  The formula was a bit thin as most FP's are.  It was also very sheer.  I used 4 coats to reach full opacity and topped with Essie Good 2 Go. Sagreena the Teenage Witch

Hi lovely ladies, It's Monday, the start of a new week! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Friday, I went Christmas shopping again. I went to Ross and some kids were opening boxes of polish. At first I was like what are you doing?! Then I calmed down and thought to myself I'm just gonna wait for these rug rats to finish! After they opened four sets of polish, they'd had enough. I grabbed every single one of them and got them for a $1 each! At first they were like we'll sell them for $1.99. I was like, no, they come from a set. If you sell them at that price it's more than the set price (I had the boxes to show them the set price) Now not all of them should've been $1 some should've been less, but I did save $16 :D Ok, enough of my ramblings.

Today, I have Wet n Wild Sagreena the Teenage Witch and Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters. Sagreena the Teenage Witch is really pretty and festive. The formula is great, but the bristles were very stiff :/ It is somewhat sheer, I used 2 coats. it's a great substitute for Zoya's Holly. I'll post that pic too. Party of Five Glitters is a medium multi color glitter. The formula is great too. At first I didn't think I was going to like it because very little glitter caught on to the brush, but I have to say it worked out really well. Other than the bristles, I have no complaints.

Today, I'm going to post some left hand pics. I rarely do it, because as we know when we use our less dominant hand to polish, the other hand doesn't look to so great. I must say I'm getting better though :D
