Order of the Garter

Hey everyone :D It's Thankful Thursday! That means it's closer to the weekend! YAY :D I just have a quick post today.

I chose a England Order of the Garter. This is a great blue with a teal shimmer. The formula was a little different from the other 2 I tried, not in a bad way just different. The first coat was a little sheer, but with the second coat it was fully opaque. I love it and instantly wanted to go to the beach. I'm beginning to think blues put me in a beachy mood. Royal Navy

Hi lovely ladies, I hope y'all's weekend is off to a great start. I know I told y'all yesterday, I was just gonna stay home and stalk the web. But, I just may look for some polishes :D I was on a no buy, but that went out the window last week. HAHA :D

Ok, today I have Orly Royal Navy. I have to say I love this blue! It's a jelly packed with turquoise/teal shimmer. I don't think I own a blue like this. I'm going to have to look. The pics make this color lighter than it really is. It's a dark blue, I just couldn't capture the true color :( If you're a blue lover this is an awesome color. Have a great day ladies :D

Cancun Blue

Hi lovely ladies, Sorry I haven't posted much lately, I've been super busy.

Today, I have a franken to share. I really love this color. It reminds of the beaches in Cancun. I'm sure there are much prettier beaches, but that's the one I've been too (so far) :D I can't remember what I used in this recipe, good thing I wrote it in my recipe book :D Anyway, I hope y'all like it. Today is my son's 24th birthday.  I remember all those years ago, the sun was rising as I was on my way to the hospital and the sun was setting when he was born. So, yes, the sun rises and sets on my baby :D There isn't anything you can't do, you are anointed, approved, destined to live your life in victory. Anything you touch will prosper. You will always be the head and never the tail. You will always be the lender and never the borrower. Happy Birthday David, I love you!

Plan B

Hi ladies, I know today is Pink Wednesday and I did have a pink mani to show y'all, but my LP is nuts and won't upload my pics. I even took pics with my iCam and nothing is working. So, instead I have a franken I did a couple of weeks ago. This is my right hand so please excuse the awkwardness of my hands and the clean up is a bit sad. Two of the pics may seem like they're my right hand, but they're not. The magic of editing pics! Haha :D Not bad though, I've had much worse looking left handed painted manis. lol

Ok, this is a dark navy blue or royal blue. I think it's royal blue :D In this pic you really can't see the shimmer but it's there IRL and it looks awesome! I really love it! Now thinking about it I have 2 colors like this, the difference is the shimmer. One is Revlon Midnight Affair, which I've already posted about and a Zoya I have but haven't swatched but looking at the bottle is does look a bit similar. I used a Sally Hansen polish added some shimmer. I used SV BC, 2 coats of my franken and topped with Essie Good 2 Go TC.

Yummy

Hi ladies, I hope y'all's weekend has been great :D Today I have Zoya Yummy. This is a sky blue cream. Formula wise it was like their other creams. I don't know I feel about this color, it is pretty, but I felt it needed something more. I think this would be a great base color to stamp on. I wasn't in the mood to stamp, so I added my franken TC that I used over Midnight Affair. I'm going to include that pic so you can see the difference layered over different colors. Blue Wants To A Millionaire

Hi ladies, Thursday is here, which means we're closer to the weekend :D Sorry, I didn't post yesterday. I had a ton of homework and I fear the weekend I'll be swamped as well :(

Today, I have Wet n Wild Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire. I bought this last year around October O.O Anyway, inside this color looks smokey blue, but in the sun it's a soft blue with a lot of sparkle. I was pleasantly surprised and received a lot of compliments with this color. This is a very sheer holo blue and (to me)  jelly-ish and applied like butter. I just love it! I used 3 coats and topped with Essie Good 2 go. I'm practicing my left handed painting skills (I'm right handed) so you get to see my right hand. Not to bad if I do say so myself, but of course the formula was awesome, so application was easy breezy :D I couldn't get a good firm grip on the bottle so my fingers looks kinda awkward, so just focus on the pretty color :D The second pic is kinda blurry, but I wanted y'all to see the pretty multicolored glitter. Midnight Affair

Hi ladies, It's Monday the start of a brand new week :D Today I have Revlon Midnight Affair. My bff gave this to me for Christmas. I love this color, it's a sexy, chic and sophisticated shimmery royal blue. It's a very bold color! I usually stay away from dark colors like this because I don't think they look good on my skin tone, but my bff w/o knowing always pushes outside my comfort zone. I'm totally loving this color. Thanks bff :D Formula wise it was a bit on the thin side but very manageable. I used 2 coats and topped with a franken top coat I made. Boy did it change the color of this blue! It's like a metallic/foil teal. I'm still teaching myself to franken so please bear with me as I play :D You may be seeing this top coat a lot over different colors. Have a great day ladies :D

GO TEXANS GO!

Hi ladies :D I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Just a quick post. Today, the Houston Texans are playing, against who idk. I'm not a football fan at all and I'll sometimes refer to it as BLAH BLAH BLAH! I do love basketball, boxing, and baseball though :D My sissy was kind enough to remind why I don/t like blah blah blah, but I won't bore y'all with that story. Anyway, right before Christmas my honey and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and he found this cute Texans polish set and he couldn't resist buying it for me. Wasn't that sweet of him :D Oh, there was also a Cowboys set, but he said, "There's no way that's getting in my car!" HAHA This polish doesn't have a name. It's very pigmented and needs only one coat. The formula was very creamy and thick. I decided to let it dry before I added the topcoat, that took about 15 minutes :/ As I was applying the TC the base color started to drag and created bald spots! I was like WHAT THE HECK! That was a 1st for me. Ok, back to the mani, I used tape and tipped with Savvy French White White and used FP red crackle and topped with Rusg 60 TC. I bought Savvy for 1.99 at Sally's, I think they're being discontinued regular price was 5.99. Or, that's what heard somewhere. Ok, have a nice day ladies :D

Sara Amber

Hi ladies, Happy Christmas Eve :D Today, I have a franken. I created this for my niece Sara. Her mom and I have been best friends for 23 years. I've known her since she was born and watched her grow up to become lovely young lady. I wish I could make something as beautiful as her, but that's impossible :D

This is a dark lavender. It's raining here in H-Town and no sun, so my pics came out poopie :( sorry.  I used 2 coats and topped with 2 coats of SV. I should've just used 1 coat of SV. My camera went nuts and I just couldn't capture the purple. It's a very lovely color, just like her. Anyway, I hope you like it. Have a great day :D

Noel & Twila

Hi my lovelies :D The weekend is almost here! Today I have Zoya's Noel & Twila from their Gems & Jewels Collection. I'll start with Noel. This is THE most beautiful winter blue I own. When I put this on I felt I should be in Aspen skiing! LOVE LOVE LOVE! It's almost a 1 coater, I used 2 coats and topped with Rush 60 Second Top Coat. Then, I added Twila and that took me to the North Pole. I can totally see Santa landing his sled on this bed of blue sparkly snow with his little elves jumping up and down awaiting his arrival! I love both colors! If you don't have this collection, you should! Ok, lovelies have a great day :D
