Romanticism Ruby

Hi there everyone :D I love Mondays, it's the start of a brand new week. Out with the old, in with the new! I hope y'all had a great weekend. Mine was fun, fun, fun! My honey's niece came over and we played with nail polish :D Then we went to a craw fish boil. OMG, the best I've had! I was supposed to show you all my St Patrick's Day mani, but it turned into a disaster after all the craw fish peeling I did :(

Ok, today, I have Finger Paints Romanticism Ruby.  So, everyone knows what my take is on red. If not, I LOVE IT! This kinda looks like China Glaze Ruby Pumps.  The formula was great, application is was easy breezy. It does dry with a lot of grit and is top coat thirsty. In the pics I had one coat and you can tell it was thirsty for more. I ended up using 3, and it could easily have used 2 more O.O Have a great Monday everyone :D

Vermillion $ Painting

Hi my peeps! I hope y'all's week is going great so far!

Just a quick post. I have Finger Paints Vermillion $ Painting. Now, we all know I'd bathe in red nail polish, but I sure would shower with orange nail polish! I love this orange!  Normally I find Finger Paints very thin to the point of runny, but this formula was great! Such a great orange with gold shimmer. For this I used 2 coats and topped with SV TC. Have a great day everyone :D

Dream A Little Dream Of Me

Hi everyone, I hope y'all's weekend has been great. I visited my honey's family and relaxed. Great weekend for me :D

Today I have my first ever Deborah Lippmann and I have to say I was not disappointed at all!  Totally worth the $$!!  When I went to Neiman Marcus last weekend there were so many gorgeous colors to chose from.  I swatched some on each finger and still couldn't decide, so I had my honey pic. He chose Dream A Little Dream Of Me.  Now, most of you know pink isn't my go to color O.o  And, I already knew that when I wore this I was going to layer it.  When I tested this on my finger I swear my jaw dropped to the floor!  I was like this pink does this!  My eyes almost popped out! LOL My honey did good!  When I got home I tried looking for swatches of this color, but there are very few (like one) and it wasn't layered.  I have this color on it's own, over Orly Black Vinyl, and Zoya Robyn. Ladies and Gents if you don't own this color you should!  I think I saw another DL similar to this, just darker. I'm totally going back for that!  The possibilities are endless with this color! Just a great awesome formula! I topped each with SV TC.  Have a great day :D

Five coats

One coat over Orly Black Vinyl. How Awesome is this!

One coat over Zoya Robyn. OMG totally gorgeous!!!!

Fantasea

Hi wonderful ladies, Boy the week is going by so fast. I hope y'all's week is great so far.

Today, I have Orly Fantasea. I think this came out in 2010. This is a purple with a red and gold shimmer, it has a lot of red to it. This would (in my opinion) be a great work appropriate color. It's not loud, but has some color to it, very pretty. I used 2 coats and topped with SV TC. This was a hard color to capture and it's slightly lighter in the pics. Have a great day :D

Star Wars

Hi ladies :D Just a quick post. I hope y'all's Friday is off to a great start! I don't have school on Fridays, so it's great already :D Also, welcome new followers! I'm very happy to have you here at Funky Frenchies :D

I love today's franken! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I used a black creme, top coat, multicolored glitter, and added some green/blue/purple shimmer. This shifted from green to blue to purple and the glitter just added another dimension! The black (Rimmel) creme was a little thick so I added some thinner too and the glitter I used bleed some :( I'll have to look for another one. This is one recipe I'll be playing with to get just right.

I was instantly reminded of Star Wars (the original.) There is so much going on here! It's just awesome! Even my mom, who usually doesn't notice my manis (unless it's red, her fav color) noticed! None of my pics do this justice. In real life it's bling bling too! Ok, enough of my ramblings. This is very pic heavy. I couldn't decide which pics to use and I wanted y'all to be able to see all the pretty colors. I hope you like it. Have a great day ladies :D

I usually don't take pics this way, but just look at this awesomeness!!!

Nouveau Vintage

Hi ladies :D It's Thursday, the weekend is almost here! Woot Woot! No plans again for me, just chillin. I hope y'all much more awesome plans than me.

Today I have Color Club Nouveau Vintage (I think) It doesn't have the name on the bottle, so I had to search online. That kind of annoyed me :/ Anyway, I love this color! It's a red brown with green and gold shimmer. At first I didn't think I was going to like it. I've had this color for so long. Idk, why I've never pulled this out, because it's awesome!  This is 2 coats topped with FP Flashy and boy does this mani rock. I got so many compliments when I wore this. It looks like a flakie quartz rock just exploded on my fingers! You can't see the green shimmer because I had to take this under the lamp. For the flakies pics I had to go outside to so the flakies would be noticeable. Have a great day ladies :D

Royal Navy

Hi lovely ladies, I hope y'all's weekend is off to a great start. I know I told y'all yesterday, I was just gonna stay home and stalk the web. But, I just may look for some polishes :D I was on a no buy, but that went out the window last week. HAHA :D

Ok, today I have Orly Royal Navy. I have to say I love this blue! It's a jelly packed with turquoise/teal shimmer. I don't think I own a blue like this. I'm going to have to look. The pics make this color lighter than it really is. It's a dark blue, I just couldn't capture the true color :( If you're a blue lover this is an awesome color. Have a great day ladies :D

a England

Hi ladies, It's Thirsty Thursday! Ok, well not for me because I'll be in school :( Today I have a England Galahad and Morgan Le Fay from the Mythicals Collection. Galahad is a blue-green creme. I'm not really into cremes but the formula on this was great! It's thick without being too thick. Dry time was super fast. It dried to a glossy finish, none of my pics are with TC and they look great! The brush though had one stray so I had to make sure I used the opposite side (it was to short to pull or cut) None of the others I own have this  problem, so I'm guessing it's a one time thing. This is a one coater ladies! Yes, one coat! Out of habit I put 2. Then I added a coat of Morgan Le Fay and OMG I feel in love! This is a pink and turquoise shimmer. I was not expecting that! I was sitting in class, like 10 hours later O.O (yes, I had to edit my post!) and I'm looking at my hands and then, "WTH(eck) pretty pink and turquoise shimmer! ! It's like I have on a different color. Morgan Le Fay would be great for someone without a lot of time but wants something different. Great for layering. I never want to take this off! If you don't have this in your collection you totally should. I ordered 2 sets of The Legends Collection one for my Celebration Giveaway and one for me and I can't wait to play with those! Ok, I'm almost embarrassed about the insane amount of pics I have today (I said, almost.) HEHE I just couldn't help myself! Have a great day ladies :D

Oui

Hi ladies, It's almost the weekend :D Just a quick post. Today, I have Orly Oui. I'm in love with this color! It's a deep purple with gold shimmer. The formula was great to work with. I bought this as a mini set, so the brush length was short and a little awkward, but all minis are. I do have larger bottles of Orly and the brush length is great. As far as the brush is concerned, it is a little thin, but easy to work with. But, I compare every brush to Rimmel (it's my fav brush) It is somewhat sheer, 2 coats would've been good. I don't normally do 3 coats but, today I felt it was worth it :D Then I added 60 Second Rush Top Coat. The sun was playing peek a boo today, so I labeled the pics for y'all. Have a great day :D

Hungary for My Honey

Hi lovely ladies, I hope y'all's week is off to a great start! I wasn't going to do my nails today, but yesterday's mani chipped really bad! :/ I'm 3/4 done with my homework and decided to take a break and what better way to do that than with a mani :D Today I have OPI's Hungary for My Honey. This is a beautiful honey with a gold shimmer. I love it! It can lean more towards an orange-ish depending on the lighting. And, y'all know I love orange! The formula is great a little thin but super easy to work with. All the OPI's I own have a great formula. Now SOPI, for me it's always hit or miss. I have some great formulas and some not so great formulas :/ Ok, back to the mani. I used 2 coats, topped with my special Top Coat, and stamped with plate bm201. The 1st pic is the truest color. Ok, I'm off to finish my homework. Have a great day :D Oh, for those who don't know what my special top coat is, it's SHAC, SV, and a little thinner mixed in. Don't judge, I'm a starving student! HAHA :D
